Harley Products Review December 2007

S&S EZFI™

"The addition of a high-flow air cleaner and slip-on mufflers, or a complete exhaust system can alter the flow characteristics of a fuel injected bike just enough to make the air/fuel ratio less than desirable,” explained S&S Media Supervisor Howard Kelly. With the new S&S EZFI™ riders can do simple adjustments to add fuel where the bike needs it and remove it when the bike doesn’t need it, explained Kelly. “Additionally, the S&S EZFI™ impacts only fuel delivery, it makes no changes to the other stock ECM functions like turn signals, instruments or safety functions,” he added. This add-on module is said to be waterproof and reportedly doesn’t require crimping or soldering of wires for installation. Software is available to allow riders to custom tune separate front and rear cylinder maps using the S&S diagnostic cable, said Kelly, who concluded by saying, the EZFI™ is available to fit all Harley-Davidson motorcycles equipped with Delphi® fuel-injection including closed-loop models. MSRP: $189.95
