Impact Video had submitted a number of documentary motorsports films to be considered as entrants for the Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival, explained company President Docy Andrews. “This was the first time motorsports films have been accepted into the main body of an international film festival, giving these films recognition of being part of the greater artistic community of filmmaking,” she said. The films selected include Baja Diaries, FMX Riot 2: Swingarm City, Enduro At Erzberg 2006: The Iron Giant Strikes Back and FMX Prague, listed Andrews. Kimpex announced it is now the exclusive Canadian distributor of the new Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires. MICHELIN INCREASES TIRE PRICES

MSF RELEASES NEW SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM

“In its continuing effort to reduce the number of crashes of motorcyclists with other vehicles, the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) has released its latest public education and awareness program for car drivers and other motorists,” reported an MSF spokesperson. Titled ‘Intersection,’ the newest MSF training systems traffic safety program is reportedly designed to educate all roadway users on how to share the road safely with motorcyclists. “The program is part of the MSF’s ‘Host-an-Event’ series of self-contained learning modules that include all the materials needed for an interested party to present a specific topic to an audience in under an hour,” they explained. ‘Intersection’ is also the title of a unique 13 minute film included with the curriculum materials, which highlights personal stories from the perspectives of all those involved in a collision between a car and motorcycle at a typical city intersection, the spokesperson said. “It is our hope that members of the safety community will use the new traffic safety program we are offering to help us get these important messages out to as many motorists as possible, especially to those just learning to drive,” stated Dean Thompson, director of communications at the MSF. Orient Express announced the arrival of the Dynatek ARC-2 asynchronous restriking CDI, which is capable of producing over 50,000 volts at the spark plug. KTM EXPANDS 2008 FACTORY TEAM

KTM North America announced a cooperative factory team expansion effort for 2008 in partnership with MDK Racing, LLC. BOBSTER RELEASES NEW OFFROAD GOGGLE LINE

Bobster Eyewear announced it has expanded its offerings to include the offroad market with the release of a new line of offroad goggles. “The MX line of goggles features two models with tear-off lenses and one with a removable prescription insert, each with its own unique set of characteristics,” stated Bobster Brand Manager Stacey Cox.
